Great
for pants that have become too short, small, old, torn or uninteresting.
* Sidelines: Cut a slit up the seam from cuff to wherever you want the design to stop.
Then measure a triangle of material that same length from apex to base.
Give an extra half inch to an inch for a hem on the material. Sew the
hem first so that it will meet the hem on the pants you are using. Remember
to fold over the edges material once and lay the outside of your choice
material against the outside of your pants. Stitch either by hand or by
machine from the top point of the triangle to the base on both sides.
Repeat for the other leg and you got yourself a kick ass pair of homemade
pants. Just wait until someone asks where you got 'em
* Bell Bottoms: Use the same idea as sidelines, cut the slit up to exaclty the
bend of the knee, and make a triangle piece of material with a very wide
base.
