The Underground holds the Truth
In a documentary on the Weatherman Underground it was stated that being underground is not a location it is a state of information control. This is done to ensure that those corrupt with power cannot infiltrate and destroy everything that one is working for. Our society has a goal of safety through government control. It's been well recognized that many give up their freedom of choice among many other natural human rights in order to secure that safety. The time is coming when we will have to fight for our cause, for our individuality, for our way of life. Right now is the time of growing awareness, a time to spread the message to all who are seeking to listen and to know what is really going on in the world today. All large industries are regulated by federal commisions and administrations. Media that comes to you through the television and the radio are subject to censorship. Fuck censorship. Claim the right to say what you want, do what you want, be who you want, and live by those personally held beliefs that are sacred.
There is underground art and music surging through the entire world, and especially here in the U.S. musicians and artists are stepping up to the challenge. Reaching the people is important, it opens minds, breaks down stereotypes, and rejects the social conditioning taught in our schools and workplaces. By producing music/art independently the truth can be revealed, the message can be delivered full force without celebrity packaging, without subdued words. The message is clear and direct and real. Every artist generates it's own subculture, music especially is one of the most direct ways to generate awareness and understanding in people. Not only do they get the message clear and unhibited, but they can feel that message.
